Springbrook Students Work in Community
Students in the School/Community Based Program at Springbrook work at Target on Cherry Hill Road and at the Marriott Conference Center in College Park. They perform duties like restocking items and working with the hotel staff in housekeeping. They don't get hourly wages, but they learn valuable life skills. Their teachers are Larry Rumford and Steve Rogers.

Tanzina Iman Presents an Award
The 2008 Maryland Women’s Hall of Fame ceremony was held in Annapolis last week. Springbrook’s own Tanzina Iman, was a presenter along with four other young women from different MD high schools. The ceremony was held in the Miller Office building and was presented by the Maryland Commission for Women. The program was attended by Dr. Nancy Grasmick, several MD legislators, and the MD Secretary of Human Resources. Tanzina (on the left) is posing with First Lady Judge Catherine Curran O’Malley and another presenter.
